I had the most amazing day today listening about leadership from our Senior Pastor at church. Joey and I took part in a panel of young adults who answered some questions so that people could understand the needs and ideas from the people the congregation was leading. Many people praised us for what we said, but I praise them for saying our needs are important and that we do know what the face of God looks like even though it’s not a traditional way of expressing that image. We go to a beautiful church because we live in a beautiful world (which, if you know me, you know I’m saying that the world is my church). The world is where I meet and communicate with God.
My favorite thing is to appear outwardly like I’m one thing and then when my mouth opens peoples eyes open wide and say “wow, that came from this image that society has deemed unintentional?” I have studied that this is what some thought of Jesus and that we are supposed to walk in his grace and image, so bring it on if this is what I’m called to do. And thank the community that allows me to do this. Thank you, thank you!
